Sales Manager – Full Time, 35 hours per week

Hatfields is a respected family run business with a well-earned reputation for exceptional service delivered by exceptional people.

We’re currently looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join our team.

The successful candidate will be accountable for the sales and overall operation of the Ground Floor/First Floor (Bedding) sales teams within Hatfields Furniture store: driving sales growth by ensuring the departments performs to their highest potential. This will be achieved through; motivating, leading and developing the team to deliver exceptional customer service and retention and achieving high operational standards. It is a management role which requires inspirational leadership to deliver a great in-store experience for every customer.

The role includes the following responsibilities: -

  • Leadership of the Sales Team.
  • Role modelling an exceptional customer focussed approach.
  • Regular review of team members. Motivation and recognising great performance are key.
  • Great sales floor management – The ability to oversee every customer interaction.
  • Involvement in selling where required.
  • Maintenance of exceptionally high store standards.
  • Consistently improving knowledge and expertise of self and others.
  • Regular reports and feedback to the wider business and BoD.
  • Key holding responsibility.

Our ideal candidate: -

  • Experience of managing a team - Ideally customer facing.
  • Proven Sales Management experience.
  • A demonstrable passion for exemplary customer service.
  • Exceptional communication and motivational skills.
  • The ability to think on your feet and confidence to make decisions.
  • A confident, outgoing individual who loves working as part of a team.

White Glove Furniture Delivery & Installation Assistant

We’re currently looking to recruit a Trainee White Glove Delivery and Installation Team member, delivering a wide range of furniture items to our customer’s homes in and around the Essex and Suffolk areas.

Hatfields is a well-respected, family run premium furniture store with a well-earned reputation for exceptional service delivered by exceptional people. Our delivery service is a vital part of this and is often the part of the experience that customers remember! We offer a white glove delivery service and treat every home like it was our own.

This is a position where no two days are the same, so if you enjoy delivering great customer service in a varied role this could be the position for you.


Main Duties include:

- Delivering great customer service to our customers.

- First class attention to detail in carrying out deliveries and installation in our customer’s homes.

- Polite helpful interaction with customers – Going that extra mile.

- Follow, instruction’s, given by the Team leader when delivering to customer’s homes.

- Treating every home with the upmost respect.

- Effective loading and unloading of the delivery vehicle. Training provided.

- Careful handling and effective protection of products to minimise potential damage.

- To assist in the warehouse when required. Training will be provided.

- To ensure a safe working environment in accordance with Health & Safety policies.

- Take responsibility for the presentation and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle.


Requirements:

- No furniture delivery experience required as full training will be provided.

- Face to face customer service experience desirable.

- A willingness to learn all aspects of home deliveries.

- A can do attitude with a keen eye for detail.

- Excellent written and verbal skills.

- Good local knowledge an advantage.

- Full UK Driving Licence.

- Due to the nature of the products we sell, the ability to lift and a good level of fitness is required.

This is a full time position working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be expected to work additional hours when the demands of the business require.

Team Member for The Coffee House

The Coffee House based in Hatfields Budget & Clearance store are looking for a friendly, polite & confident person to join our small team.

Our busy coffee shop prides itself on good customer service along with homecooked meals & cakes.

Duties to include:

- Greeting customers & taking orders at till point

- Delivering Cakes, Food & Drinks to tables

- Clearing & Cleaning of tables/chairs

- Washing up & light kitchen duties

Available Hours will vary initially to suit ever changing business requirements and you will therefore need to be flexible & able to cover for staff holidays & absences

Shifts will be allocated Monday – Saturday between the hours of 9.30 & 3.45
