Carpet Estimator / In Home Sales Consultant (Full Time)

We’re currently looking to recruit a Carpet Estimator / In Home Flooring Sales Consultant to join our flooring team in a full time position of 37.5 hours per week.

Hatfields is a well-respected, family run business with a well-earned reputation for exceptional service delivered by exceptional people. Our flooring department is a vital part of our offering and therefore, the ability to provide memorable service and expertise is essential.

Our Carpet Estimators visit customer's homes, predominantly across the CO, IP and CM postcode areas to measure rooms, offer expert advice on the type of flooring options, record the data and providing customers with an estimate of the cost.  

Our ideal candidate:

  • Experience of estimating within the flooring industry preferred.
  • Competent in utilising mathematics to calculate room sizes, cutting plans etc and a good understanding of measuring, documenting, estimating price and preparing quotes.
  • The ability to engage with customers in their own homes is essential - The role will entail closing sales and selling additional products where appropriate. The successful candidate will be measured against a set of key performance indicators.
  • A high level of personal organisation will be required – Diary will be populated by in-store sales team.
  • A proven track record in a customer facing environment.

A full UK driving licence will be required for this role – A Hatfields branded car will be provided (This must be left on-site overnight)

Furniture Sales Consultant (Full Time)

We are currently looking to recruit a full time Furnishing Sales Consultant for our main store. (Part-Time applicants also to be considered)

Hatfields is a well-respected, family run business with a well-earned reputation for exceptional service delivered by exceptional people. The Hatfields sales team is an integral part of the ongoing service we offer our customers and therefore, the applicant will have to be totally committed to maintaining our high standards.

Previous sales experience would be an advantage and you will need to be computer literate. The ideal candidate will need to have a welcoming personality and good interpersonal skills.

This position comprises 35 hours per working week and you will be required to work any five days in seven (or 2.5 for part-time), so weekend working will be expected. We offer a competitive salary package.

Warehouse Assistant

We are currently looking to recruit a new member of staff to fill a warehouse operative role within our logistics team. 

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Physical Fitness
  • Use initiative and also be a team player
  • Flexibility with additional work hours when the business requires.

Main Duties Include:

  • Loading and unloading of goods on delivery vehicles.
  • Delivering goods to customer homes when required.
  • Delivering and moving of goods in the warehouse and onto the shop floors.
  • Ensure all items are handled and protected correctly to minimise damage.
  • Follow Health & Safety policies and logistic team procedures correctly.

General Duties:

  • Notify your Manager of any Health & Safety issues immediately.
  • To follow all company rules and procedures.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Logistics/Warehouse Manager.

This position is working a regular 32.5 hours per week (predominantly Monday-Friday).
