DELIVERY INFORMATION REF COVID-19 & THE NOVEMBER LOCKDOWN (updated 02.11.2020)
In view of the current health issues surrounding Covid-19, Hatfields delivery teams shall be following strict guidelines whilst delivery to customer homes. The guidelines have been implemented to safeguard both Hatfields employees, our customers and the general public.
On arrival at a customer’s property, our delivery teams will:
1. Wear a face covering at all times within customer homes.
2. Ask you to maintain social distancing, by remaining in a separate room whilst we are in your property.
3. Ask if the room receiving the delivery is free from obstructions? (If the delivery team is required to move an item belonging to a customer, they will wear disposable gloves to move the item.)
4. Once the delivery is in situ, we will ask customers to wipe over the item(s) delivered with an anti-bacterial product where it is practical to do so.
5. Once the delivery is complete, our team will wait outside whilst the customer inspects the item(s). The customer will then need to confirm they are satisfied by speaking to our team who will be waiting at a social distance outside the property.
These guidelines will be strictly followed at every delivery to ensure safety.
Our highly trained delivery team will deliver your new furniture safely into your home, eliminating any concerns about moving or damaging it yourself. Your furniture is carefully transported and wrapped in protective packaging to keep it safe. We will protect your floors to avoid any damage to your flooring. Our team will unwrap and place your furniture exactly where you want it (subject to access). They will also remove all large packaging and recycle where possible (excluding self-assembly furniture). We will ask you to examine the goods in the presence of our delivery crew and if you find the goods to be defective in any way this should be noted on the delivery documentation, which will be reported to our customer services department who will endeavour to contact you within 48 hours. PRICE MATCH POLICY
Hatfields takes pride in delivering excellent customer service and quality products for our customers. With this in mind, we set honest discounts and prices to offer our customers genuine value for money. Should you find a lower price point at another reputable retailer for identical new goods, to include online websites, we would welcome the opportunity to price match.
Please note that as part of our policy, price matching will be based on a like for like basis and take into consideration the competitors delivery, fitting and installations costs as applicable. Price match policy cannot be used in conjunction with clearance products or discount vouchers. Prices correct at the point of which they were input, but may be subject to alteration. COLLECTION OF OLD FURNITURE
Hatfields, together with the charity Emmaus, offer a collection service for your old furniture. Emmaus communities re-sell this furniture and generate an income which supports the Community; allowing them to achieve their aim that each Community becomes financially self-sufficient. Please be aware that at busy periods only, you may need to allow 3 or 4 weeks for collection. Emmaus accept upholstered furniture with Fire Safety Labels (Furniture and Furnishing Regs 1988) and good quality furniture in saleable condition. Visit their website for further information.
We all have concerns about the impact we have on the environment, so being a responsible retailer is always at the heart of the way we do things. As such, Hatfields recycle wherever possible. We currently recycle all paper, cardboard and plastic. Under the WEEE (Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment) waste regulation we also recycle our electrical waste. If your new Hatfields purchase is to replace furniture you no longer wish to keep, Hatfields with Emmaus can help you with the removal and responsible disposal of the unwanted items as detailed above. WEDDING AND GIFT VOUCHERS
Hatfields gift vouchers are available in denominations of £10, £25, £50 and £100. Plus, if you are getting married, we will add an EXTRA 10% to the value of all vouchers purchased! We will also issue cards for your invitation notifying guests that Hatfields vouchers are your favoured choice. Please ask in store for details.
Hatfields offer a range of items which can be used for practical help due to illness or disability. These include electrically or mechanically adjustable beds and lift action chairs. In the case that you are eligible for VAT relief on these items, Hatfields will help you fill out a form to reclaim the VAT on your purchase.
